Amber Benson bio

Amber Benson, an American singer-songwriter director and producer also writes. Her most famous part is that of Tara Maclay, in the TV show Buffy the Vampire Slayer. In addition to that she's produced, directed and appeared in her own film Chance & Lovers Liars & Lunatics. She also starred Kiss the Bride. Benson was born on the 8th of January, 1977 Birmingham Alabama, daughter of Diane Benson and Edward Benson psychiatrist. Danielle, her sister is an accomplished artist. Benson was a member of a Reform Jewish synagogue as she grew up. Her mother, who was Southern Baptist and raised Jewish by her father is too Jewish. After Buffy ended Benson was in films including The Killing Jar and on shows such as Morganville The Series. Additionally, she worked as a scriptwriter on the Ghosts of Albion Series and directed Drones in the year 2010. Buffy says that she took the time to count and find the Slayers, she discovered at least 1800 Slayers all over the world of which 500 are associated to The Scooby Gang. Slayers may be awakened when the potentials reach the right age. Soledad, for example was awakened when she turned sixteen. Ruth Connell is set to portray Rowena for the season 10 of Supernatural. It seems that she is an old-fashioned, mysterious Witch.
