Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah (born in India) is a performer, singer also known as an actress, musician and playback singer. Her main work is as the performer as well as a music director for Tamil and Malayalam-language films. Her first appearance as an actor was in the Tamil film Pachaikili Muthucharam, and her Malayalam debut was in Annayum Rasoolum's film. Andrea Jeremiah is an Anglo-Indian born at Arakkonam Tamil Nadu. Her father is an attorney in the Madras High Court. Her mother is the older sister of a researcher assistant who lives in Leuven, Belgium. Jeremiah was raised in Chennai and attended National Public School and graduated from Women's Christian College. Andrea started classical piano lessons at age eighteen, has been classified as the definition of a "geek" and was aspired to become a psychiatric nurse until the 12th grade exam. Young Stars, a Jackson Five-style ensemble she joined around the age of 10, formed her base for musical and vocal. While at college days, she also was performing as a theatre artist. She was also in various stage productions arranged by The Madras Players. She served as the President of the Women's Christian College's Student Senate. Andrea's theatre career began by performing with actor Girishkarnad Nagamandala. In 2006, she was part of the tea commercial featuring Shiva. Also, she was a part of one of the shows that was relayed on Podhigai channel. Her performances have been seen across India. She played a minor role on the Kanda Mudhal finale (2005). When she sang a tune in Gautham Vasudev's Vettaiyaadu she was asked to appear in the role of a lead female characters for his upcoming film Pachaikili Muthucharam. Andrea appeared as Kalyani an housewife, with a husband who has an affair. Her character was targeted for blackmail. Andrea was chosen to play Kalyani when Simran Shobana, Tabu as well as other actors were asked to audition. The film debuted in the early 2010s. The film was released in early 2010. as part of Venkat's Mankatha in the year 2011, which starred a number of actors. In 2013, she made her debut in Malayalam film by appearing in Rajeeev's romance film Annayum Rasoolum.
